Treasury Cashier/ Cash Management/ Home Based Working ( Around Current Situation) / Competitive Salary

I am working on an opportunity for a Treasury Cashier on behalf of my nationally operating client based in Central Stockport. This role will initially be a home based position for the time being, around the current situation although applicants will need to be based within a commutable distance.

This is a varied and fulfilling role that requires the skills of somebody who has worked in a similar capacity, ideally within a fast paced environment. Remote training will be provided but previous experience is essential.

Job Description:

  • Support the treasury function in managing corporate cash in accordance with the group treasury policy
  • Supporting the delivery of high quality, accurate and timely recording and reconciliation of cash and credit transactions
  • Support the optimisation of cash throughout the group – achieving cash and debt targets
  • Accurate and timely allocation of payments to ledger codes
  • Accurate and timely processing of refunds and credits
  • Ensure all cash entries are accurately recorded and documented
  • Monitor, execute and release payments via banking platforms
  • Ensure all payment instructions are authorised
  • Accurately process urgent chaps and cash transfers
  • Ensure all customer cheque receipts are banked in a timely manner
  • Complete weekly bank reconciliations – Investigate and resolve any discrepancies
  • Support with the setting up and maintenance of new customer accounts
  • Analyse treasury data – reporting on findings
  • Liaise with wider finance department (accounts payable, credit control, banking) to ensure timely resolution of queries
  • Continually provide an excellent level of customer service

Requirements:

  • Previous treasury experience within a similar role
  • Excellent level of numeracy
  • Exposure to online banking platforms
  • Strong Excel skills – Vlook up, Pivot tables
  • Exposure to and understanding of Navision and Oracle accounting packages is highly advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage high volumes of data
  • Ability to manage a varied and high volume workload
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Team player
  • AAT qualifications are advantageous although not essential
  • Applicants will ideally be on an immediate/ reduced notice period, however my client is willing to wait for the right candidate
