Job Title: Senior Management Accountant. 12 month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: Circa £40k Basic plus Bonus, Pension, Benefits
Duties and Responsibilities
This is an excellent opportunity to join our Procurement and Cost Management team as a Senior Management Accountant. This fixed term role has been formed to create processes and deliver agreed actions from our Executive Committee, including zero based budgeting and activity based costings across several of the society’s key areas.
The management information you produce will support our Senior Leadership Team with strategic decision making, so as well as producing the information you will deliver this in a way that is concise and relevant for our leaders. You will be proactive in seeking to understand our Head Office cost base including cost drivers, productivity metrics and benefit realisation in order to encourage constructive challenge and open up conversations about cost centre budgets, ensuring they are in line with the society’s strategic vision. Due to the knowledge required to be able to adapt swiftly into this role, we are looking for someone who is qualified, with a recognised professional accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or ACA. You will be able to use your expertise in this area to influence a range of stakeholders through a collaborative approach.
You will have the flexibility of taking ownership over your workload; therefore the ability to prioritise and achieve deadlines is a key element of the role. This is an ideal opportunity for someone to develop their accounting experience and gain exposure to a range of business areas, or alternatively apply their extensive experience to a Times Top 100 company.
