Legal Cashier/ Billings Clerk / Legal Sector/ SRA/ Excellent Benefits/ Competitive Salary

I am keen to speak with experienced Billings Clerks and Legal Cashiers who have managed a high volume of billing as part of their role about an opportunity for a Manchester based, Legal organisation. This role will require applicants to have previously worked within the legal sector in an accounting capacity and have knowledge/ understanding of SRA and processes. Although this role will predominately focus on billing, the successful candidate will also support further general accounts processes.

Job Description:

  • High volume of bill generation to strict time frames – ensuring accuracy
  • Querying discrepancies on bills
  • Resolution of any billing queries
  • Liaising with fee earners regarding bills and WIP billing
  • Processing and allocating incoming and outgoing payments
  • Purchase ledger processing support
  • Purchase ledger payment runs
  • Allocation and banking of cheque payments
  • Petty cash management
  • Weekly transfers
  • Deposit transactions
  • Query resolution

Requirements:

  • Applicants MUST HAVE previous billing experience within the legal sector or have worked as a Legal Cashier
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Positive and friendly personality
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Understanding of legal sector processes and SRA
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work to target in a fast paced role
