NC Associates are looking to recruit a HR Assistant to work for a long established and reputable manufacturing business based near Eccles / Salford. As a HR Assistant you will report into a HR Manager and help manage certain aspects of the HR function. This is a new role so my client is looking for a confident person who can deal with all types of HR & Payroll queries.
Duties & Responsibilities
- First point of contact for all Line Managers and employees concerning HR queries
- Complete recruitment activity including screening and on-boarding
- Support the business and colleagues in areas such as maternity/paternity, retirement, absence, disciplinaries and other HR topics
- Issue correspondence and documentation as required
- Manage Rota Horizon and processes
- Complete payroll responsibilities along with the payroll provider
- Lead and support a range of ad hoc initiatives and projects
- Ensure all company policies are regularly reviewed
- Develop and managed company culture in line with company values
- Keep up to date with relevant employment legislation
Experience Required
To be successful in your application for this role you MUST have the following experience
- HR Generalist background
- Must be available immediately
- Solid understanding of employment law
- Strong IT skills including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
- The ability to plan and prioritise your own workload
- To be flexible and organised with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Manufacturing sector exposure would be desirable
