I am currently recruiting for a French speaking Credit Controller to support my internationally operating client. In addition to proven credit control experience, this role will require native or fluent French language skills. The position will be responsible for maintaining relationships and proactively chasing debt on the French ledger.

Job Description:

  • Manage outstanding credit balances by maintaining relationships both externally and internally to ensure timely payments
  • Negotiate effective repayment plans if required
  • Authorise orders
  • Negotiate or suspend credit facilities to facilitate order release if required
  • Reconcile customer accounts, ensuring payments are accurately allocated to the appropriate accounts & invoices
  • Review new customer application forms, credit check, and set appropriate credit limits
  • Review credit limits within the guidelines of credit reference agencies and credit insurers
  • Proactively chase overdue accounts via telephone as per company standards
  • Issue legal procedures as required for bad or problematic debt
  • Proactively work towards agreed monthly cash received and reconciled targets
  • Support continual process improvement
  • Report on aged and problematic debt to Credit Manager
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers on the French Ledger

Requirements:

  • FLUENT/ NATIVE WRITTEN AND VERBAL FRENCH LANGUAGE SKILLS ARE ESSENTIAL
  • Previous credit control experience is also essential
  • Ability to work to target in a fast-paced role and environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French
  • Proactive and positive working attitude
