Assistant Accountant Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Assistant Accountant to join a leading business based in Wrexham. This role would be ideal for a candidate with all round experience in accounts, bookkeeping and purchase & sales ledger. As the Assistant Accountant you will be reporting into the Senior Management Accountant

Assistant Accountant Responsibilities:

• Answering purchase/sales ledger queries
• Reconciling supplier statements and payments
• Reconciling bank balances
• Assisting with transactional processing duties (posting and raising invoices, credit control etc.)
• Weekly external payroll payments and journals
• Prepare monthly and annual ledger reconciliations
• Acrruals & Prepayments 
• Balance sheet reconciliations 
• Intercompany journals and recharges
• Allocation of expenses and credit cards

Assistant Accountant Experience Required

• Has previous relevant experience 
• Be AAT qualified / studying towards 
• Sage 50 experience would be desirable
• Experience working in an SME would be desirable
• Have strong interpersonal skills
