Due to increased business demands my Salford based client require an assistant to support their finance team on a permanent basis. This is a varied role that will suit a candidate who has had exposure to transactional processes and has an understanding of month end procedures. Applicants will ideally be studying AAT

Job Description:

  • Management of the end to end purchase ledger function (invoice processing, coding, statement reconciliation, daily payment runs)
  • Sales ledger processes (allocation of incoming cash and BACS payments)
  • Credit control – Chasing of outstanding payments via telephone and email
  • Production of customer statements
  • Resolution of both customer and supplier queries
  • Daily bank reconciliations in multiple currencies
  • Management of company credit card expenses processing
  • End to end payroll for weekly and monthly paid employees
  • Daily reporting of management and sales figures to head office
  • Assisting with month end accounts preparation

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a similar varied role
  • Full knowledge and understanding of the accounts payable process
  • Excellent computerised systems and Excel skills
  • Positive and motivated personality and approach
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
  • High degree of accuracy
  • Motivation to develop processes
  • Excellent time management skills – ability to prioritise workload effectively
  • Ideally studying AAT or looking to begin study
