Credit Controller Role Overview

Market leading organisation based in Trafford Park South Manchester are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to work within a small team of Credit Controllers and help support the Finance Manager and wider finance function in supporting the smooth running of the Credit Control department

Credit Controller Responsibilities:

• Chasing payment using telephone/email
• High volume credit control ledger
• Dealing with and resolving queries
• Dealing with and resolving cash allocation queries
• Issuing statements and reminder letters
• Provide information to assist with the instructing of debt collection agencies
• Recommending action on recovery of problem debt
• Management of query resolution, chasing colleagues where required
• Monitor and report on aged debtors as and when required
• Develop and maintain active communication both within the Credit Control team and all internal departments

Credit Controller Required Experience:

• Previous experience of working within a Credit Control position is essential
• Ability to work in a high volume and fast paced environment, that often requires the need to work to strict time deadlines.
• Experience of working on multiple entities or a group business is desirable
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks accordingly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and team members.
• An enthusiastic, positive, and can-do approach to tasks.
