Accounts Assistant Role Overview

As the Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for both the purchase & sales ledger transactions and will support with month end tasks. You will be working closely with and reporting into the Finance Manager.

Accounts Assistant Responsibilities:

• Processing Purchase Ledger invoices daily
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• Dealing with queries from both customers and suppliers
• Bank reconciliations
• Accruals & prepayments
• Enter new suppliers onto the system
• Processing month end journals
• Chasing outstanding invoices

Accounts Assistant Experience Required

• Proven experience in a similar Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeping role
• AAT Qualified or working towards
• Knowledge of excel to produce spreadsheets 
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
